In conjunction with our exclusive wedding partners The Wroxeter Hotel, Morrells Wood Farm provides an idyllic setting in which to hold your wedding. Nestled on the side of The Wrekin, one of Shropshire’s most iconic landmarks and surrounded by over 100 acres of picturesque countryside, it’s easy to see why we have become one of the region’s most highly sought after wedding venues.
Morrells Wood Farm is a truly bespoke venue, as we allow our guests to customise their special day as they wish. From having marquees and tipis in the adjacent fields, to utilising the external courtyard space for drinks and canapes, or taking your vows on a secluded terrace overlooking the ancient woodland, our venue is as unique as you are.
You can choose from one of the many wedding packages on offer, or alternatively you can request a bespoke quote, tailored to your discerning requirements. As part of this exclusive service, the Wroxeter Hotel will provide a wedding co-ordinator to help you to plan your special day from start to finish, with as much or as little guidance as you would like. With on site catering, offering a full and extensive choice of menus, together with fully uniformed staff to ensure your day runs smoothly, it’s easy to see why Morrells Wood Farm is considered one of Shropshire’s most exclusive wedding venues, and with everything taken care of, all you need to do is arrive, enjoy and take your memories home!
Dating back to the Domesday, St. Mary’s church in Leighton is beautifully quaint and less than a mile from Morrells Wood Farm. Not all our couples choose to marry in church, but if you are, St Mary’s is the perfect place to take your vows, as are our three licenced ceremony barns, or our outdoor terrace overlooking our ancient woodland.
Comfortably seating up to 200 guests for a sit-down wedding breakfast, the ‘Barn’ can be partitioned to create a more intimate space for smaller ceremonies and celebrations of up to 80 people. With roaring log burners for winter weddings and panoramic doors which open to let in the breeze during the warmer summer months, the ‘Barn’ is a year round venue.
With nine self-catering properties, including five cottages and four Shepherds Huts, Morrells Wood Farm can collectively sleep up to 22 guests too.
